Although these three battles had many things in common, they also had many differences. In the first battle, Beowulf travels to Denmark to battle with Grendel. During the first battle after Grendel kills on of the Geats, Beowulf and his man keep him from leaving, and in the end Beowulf tears off Grendel's arm; sending him back to his swamp home to die. In the second battle, Beowulf appears to Grendel's mom, ready to kill her. In this battle, Beowulf is almost defeated until he regains his strengthen and finally ends up killing her. Also the one thing that is different about this battle is that although he has already killed the enemy, he is still very angry and seeks revenge. Soon after he finds Grendel and uses his sword to chop off Grendel's head. In the last battle, what makes it very different from all the others, besides the fact that he fights a different character, is that in this battle Beowulf is unsuccessful. Instead of killing the dragon, he is fatally wounded and dies. Also another difference is that, older now, he fights this battle as a king not a warrior like his two other battles.
During his life time, Beowulf fought many battle. He was not only a hero to his people but he was also a hero to everybody in the world who had ever heard of his story. All of his battle were distinctive and different, each with a different purpose, but all connected to each other in some form or another. The one thing that one should understand when reading this story is that these battle were all alike in the fact that it is centralized around the idea of good and evil. However, we should also understand that good doesn't always prevail. So what do you guys think of Beowulf and his three famous battle?
